Kybella is a minimally invasive procedure to permanently destroy fat deposits under the neck. It is individually tailored to the client and their goals to improve the chin profile. Together you and our Nurse Practitioner, will tailor a treatment plan to determine how many treatment sessions you will need. Most will see optimal results after 2-4 treatments spaced 1 month apart; however you may receive up to 6 treatment sessions, spaced at least 1 month apart. The recommended wait time between visits is one month to 6 weeks. However we are always happy to see you back 2 weeks post appointment to follow up if you have any questions or concerns.

Kybella uses deoxycolic acid. This acid’s function in the body is to aid in the breakdown of fat cells. The deoxycholic acid attacks the cell membrane of fat cells causing them to breakdown. Once those cells are gone they can no longer store or accumulate more fat. Your body then works as a machine to process the fat cleared from the area using your metabolism.

Kybella is non-surgical in office procedure done by injections with a tiny needle under the chin directly into the fat deposits. Clients will see their chin profile becoming slimmer and sculpted with each treatment. The injection process itself will take between 15 to 20 minutes. Patients usually experience increased swelling, soreness, and numbness to the submental area for 3-4 days after the treatment. Kybella is the first and only FDA approved treatment for submental fullness.
